ASK & YOU SHALL RECEIVE INDEED

The Universe always gives you what you need. Whether you like it or not – whether it be a lesson, a gift or an experience. Thoughts and emotions – these are all fleeting. Once you begin to understand the impermanence of life and realise that change is inevitable, you become more accepting of the troubles that come your way. You begin to see problems as opportunities or things to be solved.
You would’ve heard the saying “People come into your life for either a reason, a season or a lifetime.” This is experientially true whether you acknowledge it or not. If you look back at your life, aside from seeing certain things being repetitive in nature you’ll see people have come and some have stayed and others have gone. eg. Relationships you thought would’ve lasted may not have worked out but perhaps you’ve learnt a lesson or perhaps with time you’ve learnt what you didn’t want for your next relationship. It could also be that someone you thought would have been around a lot longer, passed away due to unforeseeable circumstances. Or someone you met briefly, imparted some wisdom that has stayed with you for a lifetime & so forth.
Similarly, when you feel that your on top of your game the most and you have an unshakeable confidence – that’s when you must especially remain humble and be grateful. Remind yourself of your mortality. This is one of the many things I’ve learned from my Guru. Also, always thank those who have helped you get to where you are today (Credit: Jay Shetty). This includes your mentors, coaches, gurus, your parents, friends, anyone really who has helped shape you to who you are today. And to that extent I should say that I am feel blessed that I have come across both these remarkable individuals – Sadhguru & Jay Shetty (more on this story for another time).
Our time on this planet is limited. If you want to do something truly remarkable by making an impact – ask yourself what is it that you would like to achieve? Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20-25 years time? Most people don’t tend to think beyond their immediate horizon. Vision setting and strategic planning are great exercises for the mind. Ask the universe for what it is that you truly desire and work on manifesting it. Break it down into actionable steps and smaller goals (the more specific and time-bound, the better). Hold yourself accountable. Write it down into a Journal. Dream. Discover. Conquer.
